Nursing strategy of oral and maxillofacial trauma emergency during epidemic situation of the novel coronavirus pneumonia

Abstract: The outbreak of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) is still in a severe stage. Due to the particularity and urgency for oral and maxillofacial trauma, health providers in the emergency department face the potential risk of infection of COVID-19. Nursing work plays an important role in the implement of diagnosis and treatment of emergency trauma. It is critical to cooperate with all team-members, respond to emergency situation positively and correctively;; at the same time, to prevent the infection and spread of COVID-19. This article discussed the nursing strategy of emergency oral and maxillofacial trauma, based on the experiences from the Department of Oral and Craniomaxillofacial Surgery in Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital, which is aimed to provide some references for clinical work.
