Abstract: Mucoepidermoid carcinoma is one of the most common malignant salivary gland tumors, most occurs in parotid glands (about two-thirds), followed by palate, minor salivary glands (especially retromolar glands) and the submandibular gland. Mucoepidermoid carcinoma occurring in the submandibular gland with chronic inflammation caused by sialolithiasis is extremely rare. In this report, a case of mucoepidermoid carcinoma occurring in the submandibular gland with chronic inflammation was presented, and the diagnosis and treatment were discussed.
