Application of robot-assisted neck dissection

Abstract: Robot-assisted surgery has become increasingly used due to its enhancement of visualization, precision, and articulation, compared with conventional minimally invasive techniques. In recent years, some surgeons have begun to conduct robot-assisted neck dissection, since neck dissection is one of the most classic surgeries in the area of head and neck surgery. This article introduced the current applications of robotic surgery, approaches of robot-assisted neck dissection, and discussed its limitations and prospect.
