Research progress on treatment of medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw

Abstract: Medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw is a complication in patients taking antiresorptive or antiangiogenic drugs. It destroys oral hygiene, affects patients' eating, speech and reduces their quality of life. There is no consensus on the most appropriate treatment strategy for medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw till now. This article summarized the recent research on staging and adjuvant treatment of medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw.
