Abstract: Ultrasound elastography has developed rapidly in recent years. It can qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate the hardness of tissues. It is often used for non-invasive evaluation of multiple organ diseases in the whole body. It is easy to operate, highly reproducible, and more objective. At present, ultrasound elastography can be used to distinguish normal tissue and diseased tissue. It also provides valuable information for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of salivary gland diseases. The principle and technology of ultrasound elastography and its application in non-neoplastic diseases of salivary glands was reviewed in this article.
