An application of bone augmentation technology in dental implant

Abstract: Deficiency of alveolar bone is a common problem in dental implant field. Bone augmentation techniques are particularly important in order to ensure that the implanting areas have enough alveolar bone. Bone graft, guided bone regeneration, bone splitting, maxillary sinus floor elevation, osteotome technique, distraction osteogenesis are widely used to establish osseous tissue for supporting dental implants. This review aimed to review application of bone augmentation technology in dental implant.
