Research advances in maxillary sinusitis after Le FortⅠ osteotomy of the maxilla

Abstract: Maxillary sinusitis is a common complication after Le FortⅠ osteotomy, which is highly unfavorable for bone healing. Further clarifying the related factors of maxillary sinusitis after Le FortⅠ osteotomy, taking targeted preventive measures, detecting and treating early are of great significance for reducing the incidence of maxillary sinusitis, accelerating the patient's recovery, and improving the postoperative quality of life. This article summarized the influence, etiology, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of maxillary sinusitis after Le FortⅠ osteotomy, in order to provide reference for orthognathic surgeons to diagnose and treat maxillary sinusitis early.
