Progress in diagnosis and treatment of oral and maxillofacial hemangioma

Abstract: Oral and maxillofacial hemangioma is a common congenital hemangioma, it is one of the common tumors of soft tissue which often had bad effects on the morphology and function of normal tissue, or even be life-threatening in serious cases. Although its pathogenesis has not been fully understood until now, a diagnosis could be made based on symptoms, signs, imagology and pathology. With the development of technology, various methods are gradually applied in the treatment of the disease, which brings good news to patients with oral and maxillofacial hemangioma. This review was aimed to summarize the latest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of oral and maxillofacial hemangioma.
