Simple ciliary retinal artery obstruction after temporomandibular arthroscopy: a case report

Abstract: To summarize a case of ciliary retinal artery obstruction after arthroscopy in a patient with temporomandibular joint disorder, and analyze its cause, postoperative emergency, and conditions of prognosis, with the purpose to provide references for prevention and treatment of such complications. During operation, complications should be judged promptly and accurately. Close observation should be paid to and urgent treatment should be taken to prevent irreversible damage. At the same time, each surgical procedure should be carried out gently during operation and skilled surgical cooperation was needed.
